Dungeon Crawler Carl has been a busy franchise these last couple years, and it's closing out 2026 with a bang, with one new release after another. Among these releases, which include a variety of games and accessories, is the grand return of one of the science fantasy litRPG series' more curious characters.
This November, Samantha is getting an entire Dungeon Crawler Carl release entirely dedicated to her. Also known as the Withering Spirit of Psamanthe, this strange, supposed deity is an exceptionally quirky fan-favorite who would certainly be as happy as readers to know that she's being honored in such a fashion.
Samantha Returns in a New Dungeon Crawler Carl Release This November
Samantha first appeared in the fourth Dungeon Crawler Carl book by Matt Dinniman, The Gate of the Feral Gods. Since then, the banished god with the appearance of a sex doll's head has been a regular in every subsequent entry in the series, becoming an ally of Carl and a member of The Royal Court of Princess Donut.
Now, Samantha is getting her very own piece of official merchandise from Renegade Game Studios. Specifically, she's getting the "Dungeon Crawler Carl RPG: Samantha Oversized d20."
Designed to be used with the upcoming "Dungeon Crawler Carl RPG," releasing this October, this d20 is perfect for any Samantha fan, and demonstrates that Renegade Game Studios won't be skimping out when it comes to add-ons for the new tabletop game. It can also, of course, be used as a d20 for any other tabletop RPG as well.
“Lika Love Doll Head," the official description begins. "This item is possessed with the Withering Spirit of Psamathe. Crafted from clear resin with sharp edges, this colossal die contains the Withering Spirit of Psamathe or “Samantha” to her friends."
"Samantha claims to be a minor deity of unrequited love. She plans to find the rest of her body but until then her essence was forced to take refuge in the closest unoccupied naiad vessel she could find, which happened to be a sex doll based on the fictional Lika, who, oddly enough, was actually based loosely on an inaccurate history of Psamathe."
"She’s had to live in the doll for many years, unable to move until the rest of her spirit could be reunited," the description continues. "For now, she will have to be content with you chucking her around a game table as you play the Dungeon Crawler Carl RPG. Or you can just keep her on a shelf and tell her to shut the hell up."
The "Dungeon Crawler Carl RPG: Samantha Oversized d20" is golden-yellow and, as implied by the quirky description, it's inhabited by Samantha, with the die being semi-transparent, and her visible inside it. The d20 comes in a themed display box with protective foam.
The "Dungeon Crawler Carl RPG: Samantha Oversized d20" is available to preorder now for $54.99 USD.
